(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — IT outsourcing firm Fujitsu Canada announced on Thursday it has acquired business and IT consulting solution and hosting provider TMC. The details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The acquisition aligns with Fujitsu Canada’s overall strategy of strengthening its position as a leader in the Canadian information and communication technology market.
“The acquisition of TMC enhances Fujitsu Canada’s offerings and consolidates its presence in Saskatchewan, a province that has experienced major economic growth,” said Andre Pouliot, president of Fujitsu Canada. “It will also let the company expand its pool of experts and improve its delivery capability. By combining forces, both organizations will offer a broader line of services and products that will not only meet the needs of the province’s customers, but also allow us to support all our customers in Central and Western Canada in terms of managed services, application development and service desks.”
For nearly 20 years, TMC has been offering a range of services including project management, management consulting, business analysis, application development, delegated management and service desks.
Based in Saskatchewan, the company also provides managed hosting, cloud hosting and storage, and colocation services. TMC, which has about 70 employees, will see its current senior management team become part of the Fujitsu Canada leadership team.
Parent company Fujitsu provides integrated offerings and solutions, including consulting, systems integration, managed services, outsourcing and cloud services for infrastructure, platforms and applications, and data center and field services, and server, storage, software and mobile/tablet technologies.
Last November, Fujitsu launched a hybrid cloud service based on Microsoft Windows Azure, extending both its own cloud portfolio and its relationship with Microsoft.
